Hooray!
I got a package in the mail today from a dear friend.
Tami and I have been friends since Junior High.
That's 25 years! Wow!
Thank you, Tami, for the special package.
I needed a little pick-me-up today and this is such a treat!
I technically won these treasures in a contest on her blog, which hearkened back to our college days, when we used to call in and win prizes on the local, Christian radio station.
It's appropriate that the gifts are both knitting related, too, since Tami is the one who taught me to knit, way back when we were just kids, knitting tacky sweaters with cheap acrylic.
(Now, we knit tasteful items with cheap cotton and wool.)
It's been so much fun to have a peek into her life and to share some of mine as we cross paths in Bloggityville.
Go pay her a visit on Winter Creek!
Yeah! I'm so glad they arrived safely to their happy new home. Call me old - go ahead - but I really DON'T remember teaching you to knit - just that we KNIT TOGETHER!! And when I think of us knitting together I always think of those super cool "name" scarves we made for our boyfriends, and also of that sweater we knit in college for "profit." I, TOO, am enjoying these days of renewed life sharing! Thanks for your sweet words.
ReplyDeletePretty nice. I wish I had of asked for a pair of the mittens. They would be real nice right about now.
ReplyDeleteWe are back in OR and it is really cold. I have been without a good internet connection but am back on again. I am amazed at all you get done. So I will be peeking in again.
I am coming over to the church next Sunday for the class with Jeff someone.?? Don't know if you will be taking that in, but will get to see you in person sometime this summer.
