Might as well Laugh!

For those of you keeping score, the labs on Mary's staph infection came back. It is resistant staph! Another first! So, we got very special antibiotics, which, thankfully are taking care of it.

When we took Mary in for her follow up appointment, Roger urged me to ask the Dr. to check my thyroid to see if it needs to be adjusted. The Dr. asked me about my symptoms and suggested that I should consider that maybe what I need is medication for "stress." Roger and I giggled about that the rest of the day and for several days afterward. Is there a pill that will make all of this easier?? I'm not sure exactly why it's so funny, but I think it's the culmination of many, many "laugh or cry" moments. We almost always choose to laugh.

  1. We use a LOT of humor and laughter around here, too! It's one of my favorite coping mechanisms .... right after sweet crunchy things!!

  2. Wouldn't that be nice, though? I am glad you choose to laugh. We try to as well, it always works out better when we do! (-: Glad Mary's infection is clearing up!

  3. I keep hoping that they will come up with something to help with that--wait, wasn't that called chocolate or ice cream or sleep? I've been so snowed under with Christmas and sick kids and laundry that I have lost track of you, but I have to agree. One of the things I love about our house is that no matter what happens, we laugh every day.
